An exciting multi-media concert follows at 8pm with the world premiere of Kafka Shorts, Ray Luedeke's original score for string quartet and 2 actors with a text adapted from the amusing, terrifying, perplexing Parables of Franz Kafka, along with a smorgasbord of string quartets by Kenneth Fuchs, Matthew Davidson, and John S. Gray. The performers are actors Eric Gravez and Paula Llapur; the Voice Afire String Quartet includes top NYC violinists Artur Kaganovsky and Julianne Klopotic, violist Ann Roggen, and cellist Lawrence Zoernig. Directed by Dan Swern of CoLAB Arts, Kafka Shorts is co-sponsored by the American Composers Alliance.
